Birthday Party at Big Air!

Blogging about this mostly to remember and compare how much we spent for my daughter's third birthday party. So here's an overview of what we did within the 2-3 hour timeframe at the trampoline park.

Last November, we attended a birthday party at the new Big Air Trampoline Park in Buena Park. My daughter loved that place! So for her birthday, we decided to book the party there. First thing you should know about us is we love food. So basically, we brought our own food. I wouldn't be too happy with just pizza and soda. We brought our pancit, lumpia and other Filipino food. Thereby, we were charged $75 for it. They call it "catering charge."

When you jump, you feel like you're flying or floating in the air for a second and so I had this awesome idea of a superhero theme! I got everyone a cape and mask from Amazon. I had to buy from two different sellers for boys and then girls. I was super excited! Anyway, my family had Superman capes on! How cute, right? Will have to edit this post with a photo of everyone.

We got the Neutrino Party Package which cost $239. It's inclusive of 2 Ham and Pineapple (at extra $4), 1 pepperoni (no extra charge), 1 pink lemonade, 2 orange crush (I think these were in pitchers), cotton candy (which was literally gone in 5 seconds!). We opted to bring our own giveaway/goodie bag. I got Hot Wheels for everyone.

I don't remember how many jumpers were in the package but we had an additional 8 jumpers which cost an additional fee of $152. I think he total jump time was 2 hours and then 30-minute marathon eating and the singing of happy birthday. It was basically a marathon for us adults but if it were up to the kids, they'd be jumping all day. The children were having so much fun that we decided to extend the jump time to another hour! We had 18 jumpers = $90. I was looking at my receipt and we spent a total of $560. Which is way less compared to the first birthday party of course!

TIP: Bring your own socks! They don't require 2 year olds and under to wear socks but everybody else must! If you don't have one, you can buy it there for $5 a pair (I think... not quite sure but definitely, yes). But it is inside the mall and it's close to Walmart and Ross. You can buy a pack of socks for $5!!!

One of the positive points for booking your party in places like this is the quick clean up. I mean, you don't even have to clean up because they will do it for you. You go there, do a little set up (or not), eat and then leave. But like I've mentioned, it all went by so quick. I'm not sure I was able to talk to everyone. I remember, we all had a group picture! Anyway, the party was last December 17 on a Saturday. I'm not sure where we will be at for the next birthday. So far, we've been celebrating my daughter's birthday with parties like this.

LulaRoe. Simply Comfortable!

They say that "laughter is the best medicine." They lied. It is "LulaRoe!" Lol. I cannot begin to describe just how I love LulaRoe! It just feels so soft and comfortable!!! Touch it, feel it. Believe! Plus, they have most unique prints and fabric!

I am wearing the plain black leggings in medium. I know, I am so boring. I should've grabbed one of those donut leggings. But I thought, hey. Black goes well with everything. I will get something different next time... I promise! Oh, they feel so soft! Same thing with my funky floral dress which can double as a blouse when folded in. The dress is called Julia. They have other several prints but I loved this one. I was actually a little hesitant with this print but I thought it looked so pretty and sort of hippie-looking? And it goes very well with that thing on my head!

Ok. So, what makes LulaRoe so unique? Why are people so into it? Yup. Lots of people these days are going crazy over clothing? It's not a first but this is what I heard... LulaRoe only produces 2,500 pieces of clothing in a particular print. Then it gets distributed to consultants all over the country. So if you find a print and fell in love with it, type in fast! Use your super typing finger powers! Once it's gone, you may never see it again. Like a unicorn... you know! And thus, you may actually own a piece of clothing that no one else in your area has! And what do you know? No one else in your state may have it! Only you! Or if you have a unicorn you are looking for, you might just find it through LulaRoe! That's just one of the many things that makes LulaRoe lovable and unique! Some of the funky and most loved prints are definitely donuts, French fries, pineapple... Errr... Basically everything food-related prints, yeah?!

And a word of advice... Read the label carefully. It says to hang dry or else you'll cry! It's true! The fabric is made of stretchy material (kind of like spandex). I'm guessing if you tumble dry, then it will shrink or loose it's elasticity. Making it un-wearable afterwards.

What LulaRoe are you wearing? Or what LulaRoe will you be wearing next? Me? Find out soon in my up coming blog post... :)

Picasso Face Paint

Face painting is like getting a kiddie facial. I've had a few kids dozing off as I paint their faces. Some feel a little ticklish and some of the little girls tell me it's like getting make-up!

If you want to try face painting, buy a starter kit. it saves you time and money compared to buying big individual pallets. The Picasso Face Paint is a very basic face paint kit with basic colors. This is how the pallet looks like.

It has enough supply that may last for 1-2 events depending on the number of guests to paint on. This can be used by adults or kids especially the beginners. It comes with everything you need for a face painting party.

I highly recommend this for upcoming events like St. Patrick's Day (it has green and another green stick for that matter), Easter or birthdays. I like to spray a little bit of water before using the palette.

I use the sponge to dab the colors onto the sticker stencils. It is easier to use the sponge and it picks up a lot of color. I use the brush for detailing or for applying the glitter on the face paint. Since this is a small set of paint, I recommend to do simple full face paint or check paints only to save paint and time.

One of the features I like is this pencil-style paint! It makes it easier to use especially is you have a wriggly toddler to put paint on.

For children who have a small face or those who wouldn't sit still (like my model). It is best to do small art like the cupcake I did in the photo using one of the stencils.

For bigger kids, I can use this and make butterflies or bunny faces for Easter. After using, I wash the brush and sponge and just put them back in the original packaging. If you want to stock up on face paint materials, buy some regular paint brushes from the craft store and you can even use those make-up sponges.

Priority Chef Knife Sharpener

My family and I always enjoy a home-cooked meal. Both my hubby and I enjoy cooking. And there is nothing more disappointing than a blunt knife while cutting some vegetables or meat!

I was cooking today... I successfully made pancit! It's a Filipino (Chinese inspired food).   Thanks to Priority Chef Knife Sharpener for keeping my knife sharp! I was able to cut all the ingredients without much effort! But the onions made me cry! Lol.

Magnus - Long Handled Double Edge Safety Razor

My husband has been using the the Magnus - Long Handled Double Edge Safety Razor. Actually, he said he really likes this product. He said it's easy to use and very sharp. He likes the fact that it is double edged and it even came in with 2 extra blades! Definitely more sophisticated and better than his disposable razors!

Sometimes, he thinks he is cute and manly with those mustache and beard. Nah. I tell him to shave it all off! I'm glad I got him this razor!

Lewo Magnetic Board Games Chalkboard Easel

My daughter is two and she loves puzzles! I was really excited to get the Lewo Magnetic Board Games Chalkboard Easel for her! Jigsaw puzzles are perfect for hand-to-eye coordination. She knows a lot of the animals that come with this toy and she can create whatever she likes. The magnetic board comes with a chalkboard side too! My little one enjoys drawing on it and I can take a break from cleaning walls (with crayons or chalk drawings on it).

We usually play with letters and numbers too and use the fridge as our board. She probably remembered as she took the puzzle pieces and played with them on the fridge. This girl is so smart! What can I say? She has smart parents! :)

I don't even mind cleaning the mess she makes if it means she is having fun and learning at the same time.

Disclaimer: I received a discount for this product but would've still purchased it full price because it's a fun and educational toy!

Vino Mio Foldable Wine Bottle

I am not really into wine. I just take a sip occasionally like if there are parties or just when my husband and I feel like it. But should the need arise for transporting wine to wherever (like a picnic or party), the need for foldable wine pouches is a must. Which would probably rarely happen...

The Vino Mio Foldable Wine Bottle has cute prints making it look like they're real bottles. It comes in 2 pack so one for you and one for your friend! It is collapsible and foldable so you can easily pack it back in your bag or picnic basket.

This is a perfect gift for a "winer" you know. Lol. Don't forget to get them some wine cork opener and aerator too!
